Apple-Flaxseed Bread Recipe with No Added Sugar
I love this delicious bread for breakfast.! The recipe is easy with great result and is just the best nutritious bread that you can easily make at home and enjoy for dinner, breakfast or lunch. This special homemade Quick and easy Vegan Apple Bread made with unsweetened homemade Applesauce and flax-seeds is simply the best!
1 cup Flax-meal
1 cup white whole-wheat flour
1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground Ginger
1/4 tsp Salt
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup warm water (110° F)
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/4 cups Applesauce
Preheat the oven to 350°F
Dissolve the yeast with warm water, stir and set aside.
Combine the dry ingredients together in a stand-mixer
In a separate bowl whisk the flax-meal with the Applesauce until smooth
Combine mixture with dry ingredients and add the yeast mixture
Knead for extra 5 minutes with mixer or 10 minutes by hand.
The texture should be soft and not sticking to the fingers. You can knead with teaspoons of flour if dough is sticky, always start with just 1 teaspoon at a time.
Grease a large Bowl with oil, roll dough into a ball and place dough ball into the bowl.
Cover bowl with kitchen towel and keep it in a warm room for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours.
Shape the dough after the first rise and place it into a greased bread pan (watch video)
Cover with kitchen towel for 30 minutes.
Brush the top with Applesauce after the second rise and sprinkle flax-seeds on top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes (baking time vary)
Allow it to cool for at least 4 hours and enjoy.
Store your precious loaf in an air tight plastic bag and keep at room temperature
for 48 hours.
