Apple Cinnamon Streusel Bars You'll Love To Eat

I love these yummy streusel bars for breakfast, lunch or dinner! They are simply the best and the perfect treat for the weekends. These yummy streusel bars are soft and tender and would easily melt in your mouth. They are suitable for every occasion and tastes super good. They are the best ever apple bars with delicious crumbs you'll love to eat every single day. This recipe is easy with few ingredients at home and can be enjoyed any time of the day.

Chopped Apples



INGREDIENTS -Streusel Base and Topping

  • 2 1/2 cups All purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup oat flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup organic cane sugar

APPLE FILLING

  • 3 cups chopped apples

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1/4 cup rolled oats

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° F. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, cinnamon, butter and sugar together.

  2. Add the butter and mix preferably with hands until combined.

  3. Mix until crumbs are formed, divide the streusel into two portions and set them aside.

  4. Grease a 30 x 20 x 5cm pan with butter, press firmly half of the streusel (1 portion) into the pan and set aside.

  5. Peel about 6 medium apples, cut and chop them finely, you need just 3 cups.

  6. Mix all the ingredients for the filling together with the chopped apples.

  7. Scatter evenly the apple filling onto the streusel base in the pan, scatter the remaining streusel on top of the filling and bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

  8. Allow the it to cool completely at room temperature, cut into bars with a sharp knife and enjoy.

STORAGE

Wrap the streusel bars tightly with plastic wrap or put them in an airtight container and consume within 2 days.
